Do you wade through a pile of shoes at your front door?  Do you trip over shoes in everyone’s room? If the answer is yes, then you probably need a closet shoe organizer.  There are a variety of types on the market and any one of them can help to keep your closets organized and your entry way free and clear.

The first thing you’ll have to decide is how much space you have for shoes in your closet, and what the best placement for a shoe organizer will  be. There are modular units that are basically just low shelves that can fir underneath the hanging items.  These give you space for the shoes but they don’t really keep the shoes in place.  They can easily become just a jumbled mess on the shelves.  For this reason, a shoe organizer that actually has wire loops that the shoes fir on is a better choice.  Shoes will stay put, and stay in pairs, ready when you need them.

Another type of closet shoe organizer fits over the back of the door.  There are both wire and canvas over the door shoe holders.  The canvas ones generally have pockets that shoes slip into.  The wire ones are made with loops that the shoes fit over.  Which one you choose is mostly a function of the types of shoes you’ll be keeping there.  Obviously dress shoes will fit better in such a hanger than would big hiking boots or heavy work shoes.
In some cases, such as a front entry closet or hallway, you may want your shoes organized but also out of site.  There are some pretty cool shoe organizers that open on an angle to slide the shoes in and then close to keep smelly sneakers and muddy boots completely out of sight!

One other tip to help keep closet clutter under control and store shoes at the same time are to put pairs of shoes that you don’t wear very often into clear plastic containers.  You can then put the pair of shoes on any regular shelf and they’ll stay together and be easily identified when you want to wear them.

Trying to organize closet clutter can be a daunting task, but once done, it is well worth the effort.  An organized closet can mean the difference between a smoothly running household and one that is overwhelmed by frazzled searches for articles of clothing and other items that family members need. Here are the 5 main steps to follow to help end closet clutter forever.

Purge
Before you can clear closet clutter, you have to determine what you really need to have in that closet.  Empty the closet out completely and go through each and every item.  Sort items into piles for throwing away, donating, and storing.  What are left will be the items that you will want front and center in your newly organized closet.

Contain
Containers are a great way to organize closet clutter.  You can find boxes, totes, baskets and bins in every shape and size to suit all kinds of items. Label containers on the front so you can see at a glance what is in each container.

Visualize
When planning your closet makeover, try to visualize how you want it to look when completed.  Think about the items that you’ll be taking in and out of the closet on a regular basis.  Decide if you can store items on shelves or if you need lots of room to hang items.  Picture yourself getting at what you need.  Can you reach everything?  Are all areas accessible?  Plan your closet so it is functional.

Light
One of the worst things about closets is that they are often dark.  Even a well organized closet can be frustrating if you can’t see what you are trying to find.  There are many battery operated lights that you can attach to the walls of the closet to provide extra light right where you need it.  Try putting several around the closet to illuminate dark corners or the insides of shelves.  Put some near the floor too for finding shoes and items stored there.

Directions
Look in all directions when planning your closet design.  You want to use all of the space available.  Think vertical and horizontal.  Stack boxes in a column and use floor space under hanging rods.  There is usually a lot of wasted space in a closet so try to use every bit in some way.  Even a hook or two on a bare side wall can hold out of season jackets or coats.

I chose to buy a Trend Lab Medium Fabric Storage as a gift for my friend’s baby shower. Even though I was not sure that she will be happy with my gift I still bought it because I was thinking that it will be useful to her.

After she gave birth to her precious baby girl, I visited her in her house. I saw that she was already using the gift that I gave her. She was very thankful to me that I gave her a Trend Lab Medium Fabric Storage. She said that it was very useful to her especially for keeping up the things of her baby such as the milk bottles, and other things she needed to in cleaning and dressing her baby. It is very convenient for her since she lives in a three story house. It is easy for her to bring it anywhere inside her house. What made me happier is when I saw the baby inside of the bigger bin. The baby was very cute in it.  My friend made it a portable bed for her baby and I saw that her sibling sleeps comfortably in it. My friend said that it is easy for her to carry her sleeping baby from the third floor to the next floor without waking her up. She also said that she can do other chores such as cooking, cleaning, washing and many others and still can manage to take care of her baby. Because wherever she goes, she brings the baby with her wherein the baby contentedly and happily lies inside the basket. She does not worry even if her baby girl wakes up because she knows that her baby is very safe in it. I was overjoyed because I bought the right gift for my friend!

But while I continue looking at the Trend Lab Medium Fabric Storage, it came across my mind that I will buy another one for me because I saw that I can utilize this basket in many ways such as holding my souvenirs inside my bedroom. Since I love buying magazines and I have lots of it in my house, I can put it in one of these baskets. And since the basket is chic, it is just perfect for my entertainment room. And I think that I can buy another set for my cats too. They will look very charming in it! Need Kids Storage Bins? Yes, you do.
